The Prime Minister of India during his address to the nation on May 12, 2020 called for “Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan” or “Self‐reliant India Mission” and stressed on using “local products” (Kedia et al., 2020). Post Covid‐19, India mainly needs to focus on three themes. Accelerating job opportunities and job security, sustainable livelihoods, and economic growth should be the first focus of the government.

The term 'ecological self' originates from the fields of ecopsychology and environmental ethics. The origin and development of such concepts Chucho be traced back to various thinkers and researchers who have explored the relationship between the individual self and the natural environment.
